Life Update! 🌱

Since I last showed up here, life has stretched me — through entrepreneurship, grad school, marriage, and even a near-death experience. And while each of those chapters looked different, together they’ve redefined how I understand purpose, work, and balance.

Purpose:
I came up with the idea for my consultancy, Green Quotient Solutions, LLC, sometime last year after realizing that I didn’t feel fulfilled in my corporate role. With the encouragement of so many people around me, I decided to take the leap.

However, the reality is that most start-ups are not overnight successes.

There are weeks of grinding and ideating with no luck — and then suddenly, the tides turn, and it feels like opportunity overload.

While not receiving a biweekly paycheck has been an adjustment, I’ve been so fortunate to never be without the provisions that would make me question my path, and I’m deeply grateful for the quiet, uncertain moments that allowed me to find my “why.”

My purpose on this earth is to develop — myself, others, communities, and environments — all through connection and education.

That’s the thread that runs through everything I’ve done: volunteering at All Stars Project, Inc., leading my cultural nonprofit G.O.L.D.R.U.S.H. Association, teaching through my consultancy, and giving keynotes at The College of New Jersey, NABA and beyond.

Longevity doesn’t come from finding a perfect-fit career. It comes from aligning yourself with entities and opportunities that reflect your passion, no matter how they’re packaged.

Work:
I started my Master’s in Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy (yay!) and completed my first graduate fellowship through The Resiliency Company. Depending on who you are, this might be a plot twist or full-circle news!

I also won 2nd place in my first pitch competition for Green Quotient Solutions, supported by the incredible Dr. Michelle Chanda Singh.
These moments reminded me that while we can explore and experiment, our calling will always call us back, and you will be rewarded for obeying it.

Balance:
A few months ago, I got into a car accident that could’ve killed me.

On what felt like a normal day — balancing life as a multipassionate 20-something, I was T-boned at an intersection, just days before my bridal shower.

When you’re young, ambitious, and healthy, death feels distant. But in that moment, I was reminded of what truly matters and had to lean on my husband, my community, and my faith to see the bigger picture.

I am alive.
I am educated.
And by the grace of God, my work here isn’t finished yet.

This season has made me more reflective, relentless, and determined to live fully, share openly, and build intentionally.

I hope this post reintroduces me — not just to the algorithm (lol), but to everyone who has invested in me, is curious about my work, or is following along as I build out passion projects and pursue my goal of developing people and places through education, opportunity, and energy.
